Young Chelsea defender Nathan Ake hopes for a loan move next season, he has told Voetbal International.
Ake has previously been voted Chelsea's 'Talent of the Season' and club officials hold him in high regard. The 19 year old wants more game time and sees going on a loan spell his best option.
"Next season I want to be playing minutes. A loan spell at an English club would be best," said Ake.
Ake made his first Premier League appearance for Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho on the last matchday of the season as a substitute for Mohamed Salah against Cardiff City, which was his seventh appearance in the Premier League. The young Dutchman says his feelings about football have changed ever since his transition into the Chelsea first team and the Premier League.
"I think about the game totally differently. I have had no regrets about my choice, and I have developed well."
The highly rated youngster's current contract expires in 2018 due to the five year extension he signed at the end of the 2012-13 season. He earned that deal as a result of impressing the Blues while playing in their under 21 side.
