Matija Nastasic is proud of his first season at Manchester City.

The man he displaced, England centre-back Joleon Lescott, said leaving the Serb off the shortlist for PFA Young Player of the Year was "harsh".

"I can't complain about my first season," said Nastasic in the Mail on Sunday. "I'm happy how it has gone for me even if we know it could and should have gone better as far as the team are concerned."
