Samir Nasri hailed the performance of Arsenal teammate Jack Wilshere in last night's Carling Cup win over Tottenham. Wilshere was outstanding in midfield as Arsenal won after extra time at White Hart Lane, where Nasri scored two penalties in the additional 30 minutes.

"He's a really good player," Nasri said. "Last year when he went (on loan) to Bolton it helped him because he played a lot of games with Bolton.

"Now he's ready to play and be a good player for Arsenal. And I think England need a player like him. Jack is a wonderful prospect for the future."
