Samir Nasri expects a place in Pep Guardiola's Manchester City team next season.
Nasri marked the first Premier League start of his injury-wrecked season with a goal in victory over West Brom.
He said: “A new manager comes in with his own ideas.
“I played against Pep's teams in the past, he had some praise for me — but that was something like five years ago now.
“You have to discuss things when there is a new boss. On the first day of pre-season, I will have a chat with him.
“If I stay working with Pep, if he wants me, he's going to be a lucky man — because I will be really hungry.
“I just know that I am the type of player for his philosophy and the way he likes his team to play. Of course I want to stay here."
