Nasri to tell Guardiola he wants Man City stay

Samir Nasri will hold discussions with new Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola regarding his future at the club.

The French midfielder has fallen dow the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium in recent times but is determined to stay put and work with the Spanish tactician.

The Sun reports that Nasri and his representatives are eager to speak with Guardiola in a bid to clear up his role at the club he has been since joining from Arsenal in 2011.

A City source told the paper: "It is Samir's dream to play for Pep and he will pretty much tell him so when they have talks.

"He is determined to persuade Pep to give him 12 months to prove his worth to the club."

Nasri endured a frustrating 2015/16 season with injury, managing just 13 appearances in all competitions for City, and is desperate to prove himself to the club and to Guardiola next term.
