Nasri: Arsenal dithering forced me into Man City move

Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri insists he never wanted to leave Arsenal. Nasri, who left the Gunners in the summer of 2011 for the Manchester outfit, states that he wanted to initially extend his stay at the Emirates.

"What happened is this: it was my best season with Arsenal [scoring 15 goals]," Nasri told the Telegraph.

"We were in October [2010] and the manager asked me whether I wanted to stay at Arsenal. 'Yes I want to stay at Arsenal' I said.

"We wait, we wait, we wait. We arrived in June. I have only one year left on my contract."
