Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik wants to help improve Serie A.

Hamsik reflected on the relative weakness of Italy's top flight to compete in the international transfer market.

"I think Serie A still has a lot of quality. Of course, we need to modernise stadiums. Then, there are serious problems such as late payments of wages. A player cannot go without being paid for three months. If such a thing happens, the club should have points deducted from the standings."
