Napoli was celebrating last night after Christian Maggio became the club's first player in 16 years to wear an Azzurri jersey.

The winger made his debut in last night's 1-1 away draw with Greece, becoming the first player since Fernando De Napoli in 1992.

Maggio was naturally elated post-match: "It is a spectacular feeling and I am so happy this debut has at last come.

"I can only thank my teammates and the Coach. Everyone has made me feel very much at home."
