Napoli are interested in Manchester United striker Federico Macheda.
The People says Napoli want to buy the Italy U21 international, who is currently on-loan at Sampdoria.
Macheda has endured a difficult time at relegation-haunted Samp this season.
But club sources say the Italian striker is part of United manager Sir Alex Ferguson's future plans and is not for sale.
