Napoli are set to move for Tottenham midfielder Wilson Palacios next week.
The Honduras international isn't due back in Europe for another week following his exploits in the Gold Cup.
Napoli will step up talks, says Mediaset, over a £10 million deal for Palacios once they close the signing of Udinese midfielder Gokhan Inler in the coming days.
Palacios admitted last week he didn't expect to have his future decided until his return to Europe.
