Napoli have snapped up Brescia defender Fabiano Santacroce.

Brazil-born Santacroce is an Italy U21 international and has signed a five-year contract with Napoli.

His arrival follows on from Napoli's capture of Argentinos Juniors goalkeeper Nicolas Navarro.

Erminio Rullo was meant to move to Brescia this month, but rejected the transfer.

"During the negotiations Napoli had agreed to sell Rullo to Brescia, but the player refused to complete the move," read an official statement.
