Napoli star Ezequiel Lavezzi is determined to improve his scoring record.

The Argentine limped off during the opening Champions League game against Manchester City with a bruised ankle.

"I am much better than a few days ago. I know the heel takes a little longer to recover, but I am fine," said El Pocho.

"I haven't netted at the San Paolo in a long time. I am a striker and I have to score more goals. I do criticise myself a lot, but always try to be useful to the team."
