Gonzalo Higuain is keen to join Liverpool this summer, according to reports.
The Daily Mirror is of the belief that the Argentine striker is hoping to force a move away from Napoli in a bid to play under Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
Higuain is a reported target for Manchester United while Arsenal and Chelsea have been credited with an interest but the 28-year-old fancies Liverpool instead.
Klopp is ready to offload Christian Benteke in the fast-approaching transfer window and is eager to replace the misfiring Belgian with a quality goalscorer.
Higuain scored a remarkable 36 goals from 35 Serie A appearances for Napoli, who finished runner-up to champions Juventus in 2015/16, but wants to leave the Stadio San Paolo.
It is understood that Liverpool's absence from European football next season has not deterred Higuain from contemplating the move to Merseyside.
