Napoli skipper Paolo Cannavaro feels he's emerged from the shadow of his older brother Fabio.

The now retried Fabio Cannavaro won a Ballon d'Or and played for Juventus and Real Madrid.

"I am no longer thought of as Fabio's brother," Paolo told Rai Sport. "People perceived me as that when I arrived, but now I have my own identity - captain of Napoli."
