Fresh off scoring a double against Chelsea on Tuesday night, Ezequiel Lavezzi has opened the door to a potential move to the Premier League.

The 26-year old Argentina striker admits he is a fan of Spain’s La Liga and Barcelona ace Lionel Messi but also suggests he may one day learn English so he can play in the famed Premiership.

"I like the Liga where there are a lot of strong players, and I particularly admire Messi," he told Eurosport.

"But the Premier League is beautiful too. These are two interesting championships, where every player wants to play sooner or later.

"It's the beauty of our job that we can discover different cultures and countries.

"For example, I don't speak English, but one day I'd like to learn it."
