Napoli forward Vincenzo Bernardo is hoping he can complete a loan move as soon as possible. The 19-year old US U20 international is keen to fast track his development and believes it would be of great benefit to him if he was able to do that by playing first team football.

"We have until August 31st to close any loan deals," Bernardo told Soccer365.

"They're offers from some lower level Italian teams, as well as some second division teams outside of Italy.

"Hopefully, everything can be taken care of, so I can start playing as soon as possible.

Despite rumours of a possible MLS move, Bernardo says he will definitely be staying in Europe this season in order to best show Napoli his progress made.

"They just want me to play as much as possible and gain as much professional game playing experience as possible," he added.

"Obviously, they expect me to score goals and play well.

"I would like to improve my overall game. It's time to step it up and I feel that I'm ready to compete."
