Stoke City have failed with a bid for Napoli attacker Manolo Gabbiadini.
Il Mattino says Stoke have had a bid of £15m for Gabbiadini rejected by the Serie A club.
Napoli are keen to see the back of the misfiring frontman, despite claims to the contrary last week by club manager Maurizio Sarri.
However, the club's film producer chairman, Aurelio de Laurentiis, has dismissed Stoke's bid and is instead seeking up to £20m for his struggling striker. Il Mattino claim that is the amount Napoli need to bring in their favoured replacement for Gabbiadini, Genoa's Leonardo Pavoletti.
