Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis is rethinking his plans for Pepe Reina.

Having pushed to sell the veteran goalkeeper over the summer, there is now talk De Laurentiis planning to offer Reina a new deal.

The goalkeeper is currently secured to Napoli until the end of this season.

And after his performances in the Champions League, Gazzetta dello Sport says De Laurentiis is now ready to draw up a new contract offer for Reina's consideration.

Rather than wait until later in the season, ADL is keen to open negotiations in the coming weeks.
