Napoli president De Laurentiis spends day interviewing sporting director candidates

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis spent yesterday interviewing candidates for the vacant sporting director's job.

After sacking Pierpaolo Marino last week, De Laurentiis intensified his search for a replacement yesterday: "The fans can relax, I am working hard to settle the club's future."

Sampdoria chief Beppe Marotta, Juventus director Gian Paolo Montali and former Sampdoria coach Walter Mazzarri all met with De Laurentiis in a series of meetings.
