Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has cooled talk of a move for Sampdoria striker Antonio Cassano.

"I like Cassano a lot because I have always admired those who others sometimes consider to be rebels and that I instead consider to be blessed with notable personality," De Laurentiis said.

"However, I believe Napoli are going in a completely different direction to that Cassano is taking."
