Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis admits Inter Milan have come knocking for midfielder Marek Hamsik.

De Laurentiis revealed: "(Inter president) Massimo Moratti was on the phone two months ago and asked if it was possible to buy Hamsik.

"I told him he does not need him, because he has so many champions. I need Hamsik. If I want to sell one of our great players it will only be done on the basis of well thought-out reasoning."
