Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis insists coach Edy Reja's job isn't in doubt.

"A few minutes after the final whistle against Lazio yesterday there was a lively discussion between Reja and myself when I went in to compliment the players," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

"There was still a lot of built-up tension in the air from me in the stands and Reja on the sideline and he had been sent off.

"Certain things can be said at a time like that which are out of place and not intended.

"This morning I called Reja and we cleared things up in a cordial manner. We both hold the other in high esteem and we have a solid foundation of respect that we can build our future work on.

"Reja has assured me that he will continue to give his all to Napoli to make sure that we get as excellent a final position as we had at the halfway point."
