Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis has produced an open letter reflecting on events around the Coppa Italia final.
Napoli defeated Fiorentina 3-1 to lift the trophy, but the match was marred by fan violence, which saw one supporter, Ciro Esposito, hospitalised with a gunshot wound.
De Laurentiis has praised the fan's mother, who has urged forgiveness.
"Dear friends from Naples and friends from all over Italy, I did not want to comment or attain responsibility on what had happened," he wrote in an open letter.
"But one thing has struck me - the great dignity of Mrs. Antonella Leardi. Her words of love for others and forgiveness have impressed me deeply.
"To her I send my respect, my devotion and my total love."
