Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has taken aim at Bologna attacker Simone Verdi.

Napoli had agreed a €24m deal to sign Verdi in January, but the player turned them down.

“I was disappointed by Verdi because he told me 'yes' and we'd prepared the contract with his agent and Bologna," the President told Premium Sport.

“When it was time, however, a phone call came from his agent, who said, on the eve of his departure, that the lad didn't want to come anymore."
