Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has hailed the impact of Gonzalo Higuain and Marek Hamsik this season.

Both players were linked with moves away this summer.

ADL said, “Gonzalo Higuain? He's an extraordinary person and very intelligent. He married a Neapolitan girl.

“I wasn't wrong to hang on to [Marek] Hamsik, who had been undervalued. Now that the new Coach has put the smile back on his face we're reaping the benefits."
