Napoli president De Laurentiis dreams of Champions League qualification

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis admits he wants to see the club in the Champions League.

Asked if he would like Napoli to qualify for Europe, De Laurentiis said: “Actually I would like to participate in the most important competition, the Champions League.”

For now, his ambition remains just that, as he feels Napoli aren't yet ready to push for the Scudetto.

“This is a little more difficult because all the great teams have reinforced. In today's football it's not enough to have only one outstanding player, it takes a true team to be competitive.

“When I have 18 players of more or less the same quality, then we can speak again.”
