Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik is being discussed at Barcelona.

Sport says Barca chiefs are ready to move for the Slovakia international if they fail to convince Cesc Fabregas to leave Arsenal.

Hamsik is regarded highly across Europe and counts Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti and Manchester United's Sir Alex Ferguson among fans.

Barca know Hamsik will eventually be seeking to move to a bigger club and are ready to pounce should they be frustrated in their pursuit of Cesc during 2010.
