Napoli midfielder Christian Maggio is convinced they can overhaul Serie A leaders AC Milan.

Napoli are in second place and just three points adrift of the Serie A leaders, though the club has been eager to play down title talk.

"We can't wait to play Milan," grinned Maggio of the big trip to San Siro on Monday February 28.

"The Rossoneri have players of great quality, but we are no worse. In fact, in my view we're the stronger team.

"Before that game, we have to focus on Villarreal and the Europa League. We want to go far in Europe and our strength has been taking it one match at a time without calculations."
