Napoli management are furious with Kalidou Koulibaly for touting himself to Chelsea.

Speaking with the French media, the defender was quoted yesterday stating he expected to hear from Chelsea and their new manager Antonio Conte.

Koulibaly had said: “I have not talked to [Antonio Conte] but that may be soon. If nothing happens at Napoli, I will start to have contact with other clubs."

Radio Kiss Kiss says Napoli directors are fuming over Koulibaly's comments, particularly as they had not granted him permission to hold any interviews.

Former Napoli captain Beppe Bruscolotti stated: "It's one of the worst things he could do through the media, you have to talk about it in the appropriate forum.

"For the football fan this is not nice, it begins to change their mind about the athlete."
