Napoli have been locked in talks with Inter Milan over a loan deal for Adriano.

Controcampo says Napoli were ready to takeover Adriano's loan for next season from Brazil's Sao Paulo, though now must wait until new Inter coach Jose Mourinho decides whether he can use the Brazilian.

Inter president Massimo Moratti likes the idea of keeping Adriano closer to home and sees the prospect of sending him to Napoli next term as similar to what Antonio Cassano has achieved with Sampdoria. The agreement would also open the door to Inter securing first option on Napoli stars Marek Hamsik and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
