Napoli legend Diego Maradona has touched down in Italy.

Maradona aims to fight claims he owes the Italian government €35 million in unpaid taxes.

"I am not a tax fraudster and I am not afraid of returning to Italy," Maradona stated last year. "I played football and other people signed for me. I never signed anything.

"The people who are really responsible are free and can walk around freely in Naples and I can't. That's not fair.

"I want to return to Italy as a gentleman because I never stole anything from anyone."
