Diego Maradona has ended his feud with son Diego Jr.

Napoli legend Maradona has put an end to his two-year legal dispute with Diego Jr and is offering financial compensation to the young Italian footballer.

"I have already forgiven my father and my openness with him was always evident," Diego Jr, who is expected to sign with a Serie B club in January from Quarto Calcio, said. "My father, unfortunately, has had a life full of so many difficulties.

"Perhaps if he had had a less tortuous path, things would have worked out differently for the two of us."
