Napoli legend Diego Maradona has reportedly been questioned by Madrid police.

The Sun reports Madrid hotel room was raided after he was accused of assaulting his partner.

Police came to the hotel after getting a call from the manager at 8:20am local time, as Maradona was quizzed by officers.

According to various Spanish sources, his girlfriend Rocio Oliva has not filed a complaint after the incident occurred at the five-star Eurostar Suites Mirasierra in the north of the city.

Oliva posted pictures on her Instagram page yesterday of the pair enjoying a jacuzzi dip in the Spanish capital.

Maradona was also accused of hitting a journalist after landing in Madrid.
