Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina has jumped to the defence of Barcelona midfielder Sergi Busquets.
Busquets has been slammed by the press and some Spain players, including Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas, for his stamping incident involving Pepe.
"I'm close to Busi. He is a fantastic guy and you cannot doubt him as a person.. He has done a lot for Barca and you have to thank him for all he has given.
"With Spain his behavior has been exemplary," said Reina.
"I did not see the incident. I do not know if it was done intentionally or unintentionally, and I want to leave it there.
"I prefer for Busi that good things are spoken because he's a great guy."
