Napoli goalkeeper Morgan de Sanctis believes AC Milan remain favourites for the title.

The goalkeeper is on the form of his life at the moment and proved decisive in taking the Partenopei to the last 16 of the Champions League.

"My most important save was on Mario Balotelli when beating Manchester City at the San Paolo. The second was on Mario Gomez against Bayern Munich. That night I parried a penalty that otherwise could've sent us down to a defeat.

"From now until European competition begins again, we have nine matches to play and want to do as much as possible. Our objective remains to finish in the top five," he told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Milan are the favourites for the Scudetto, as they clearly have the strongest squad. Sooner or later they will have that sprint to leave everyone else behind."
