Udinese goalkeeper Morgan de Sanctis is angry with his Italy critics.

De Sanctis is regularly called up for international duty, though many criticise this decision by Cesare Prandelli.

"I got angry with those who proposed themselves for the job or the Coaches who said their goalkeepers should be called. Therefore I decided to provoke them and said: fine, propose all you like, but tell me to my face who ought to be dropped. Obviously, I received no replies. I'm calm, anyway.

"I have known Gigi Buffon since we were both in the Under-17 side in 1994. I hope we'll still be together at Euro 2012."
