Napoli deny keeping players in press silence over 'football superstition'

Napoli deny they're keeping their players in press silence for 'football superstition'.

It's claimed Napoli will continue to gag their players so long as they keep winning.

"On the contrary to some of the imaginative hypotheses being made, there aren't any 'superstitious' motives to this decision taken by the club," the statement reads.

"Napoli is a club on the rise and takes decisions it deems best for the good of its business.

"If a company decides that external communication in the form of interviews is not appropriate at a given moment for the objectives it has set, then it doesn't grant interviews. This is done without fear of upsetting our fans."
