Napoli have released midfielder Sam Dalla Bona from his contract.

The former Chelsea and AC Milan midfielder is now free to join another club and said: "The first year I played well and contributed to Napoli's return to the top flight, then I started to have less and less space, but in all honesty I never understood why.

"Maybe I just didn't have the best rapport with Reja. I have spoken to [West Ham manager Gianfranco] Zola and hope to return to London. I await his response."
