Napoli are through to the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia after a 3-1 win over Salernitana. The high flying Southern outfit, who are astounding all with their efforts in the Serie A, took the lead thanks to an own goal by Peccarisi in the 16th minute.
Pia made it 2-0 four minutes later with a simple tap-in, and if not for the several heroic saves from Salernitana keeper Pinna it could have been 4 or 5 nil a the break.
Salernitana pulled one back shortly after the interval from Arturo Di Napoli, but Hamsik restored the two goal buffer moments later, converting a penalty.
