Napoli are planning to bid for Inter Milan defender Cristian Chivu.
The Azzurri see Chivu's signing as a crucial part of plans of becoming a top four regular.
Chivu's disciplinary problems have tested Inter's patience this season.
They are apparently prepared to sell the Romania international following the arrival of Andrea Ranocchia in January and will bring Davide Santon back from his loan at Cesena to cover the left-back position.
