Italian World Cup winning captain Fabio Cannavaro continues to be pursued by Napoli, but will finish the season out at Real Madrid. Cannavaro's agent Gaetano Fedele confirmed that the southern club was still preparing a proposal to lure Cannavaro back to Napoli next season.

Fedele, speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss said: "Napoli are developing a youth policy but I think this needs some major components of experience.

"Between the end of January and early February there will be a meeting with Real Madrid's management to discuss Fabio's future. But he will see out the season at Madrid."
