Napoli coach Edy Reja insists striker Emanuele Calaio remains a key part of his plans this season.
"I chose to play Mariano Bogliacino against Siena because he gives me a better balance against a side with four midfielders," Reja insisted. "There are no problems. I have a squad to choose from and you have to make decisions for the good of the unit."
"He is an important player for us who can play an important role in our season if he gives his all for the shirt," sports director Pierpaolo Marino agreed.
"We have to try and balance Calaio's current interests and the club's. As soon as he says he wants to leave, we have to look for a top class replacement in the market.
"At the moment we need to focus on the wider picture of Napoli. This project is still young after three and a half years, but we are already in sixth or seventh place."
