Napoli coach Edy Reja was delighted to see German Denis break his Serie A duck with the winner in yesterday's 1-0 victory over Bologna.

He said: "I think German gave an important answer on the field. He is not considered that highly at the moment because he put in some below par performances, but that was down to fitness.

"On Wednesday he played even though he had a temperature. I cannot expect him to track back into defence and help the others, but he is a real hitman."
