Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri was happy to stand by Ezequiel Lavezzi for their scratchy 2-1 defeat of Bologna.

Lavezzi's management had clashed with Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis last week over a misplaced passport.

"I have to make my decisions, these are choices I will soon be able to make with the entire squad at my disposal," said Mazzarri.

"It went well, I picked Lavezzi because in talking to him and looking him in the eyes I understood he could guarantee a performance."
