Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri is delighted with the current form of Lorenzo Insigne.

The striker was outstanding for Italy in victory over Malta.

"Insigne is a player that is perfect for the current era of football, as he is a footballer who thinks about the team before himself," commented Mazzarri in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.

"He is a type who is generous, runs a lot, is pivotal in his movement and helps his teammates.

"It is true that he is making very fast progress, but let's not forget he is making the transition from Serie B to A and representing his hometown club, which will bring emotions and added pressure.

"I honestly do not know if Insigne will become as good or have as much success as Ezequiel Lavezzi, but he is a very mature young man who handles the pressure very well."
