Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri has defended goal-shy Edinson Cavani.
Cavani has failed to score for eight official games, as he hasn’t found the net since January 27.
“I always talk about performances and in those terms Cavani has always been very satisfying,” insisted Mazzarri.
“We are close to Cavani and know he will help the team to win, just as the team will help him. Edi is part of a chain reaction from the whole squad that eventually allows him to score. We want to break that drought and at times all you need is a little luck to change everyone’s attitude.
“Maybe some have lost a little sharpness due to fatigue, but I am certain we will get back to playing the type of football we always have done.”
