Napoli coach Maurizio Sarr blows fuse after Inter Milan stalemate

Napoli coach Maurizio Sarr blew a fuse after their 0-0 draw with Inter Milan.

The Partenopei have slipped off the top of the table with one point from the last two games.

“We weren't far off and had some really good chances, especially in the second half, but in terms of focus and effort, it was much better than last week," Sarri told Mediaset Premium.

“If Juventus win every game for the rest of the season, then we can only applaud and tip our hats to them. We are not the richest club in Italy, we can push them all the way.

“Do we believe in the Scudetto? We continue to believe that we can do our best."

Sarri became increasingly irritable when asked if Napoli's title chances were evaporating.

“I refuse to accept this idea that Napoli have given up. We put in a strong performance in a difficult arena against a side that pre-season everyone said would be ahead of us by now. We did so well throughout this campaign that we got people expecting things that were unrealistic.

“If you continue to ask me about Juventus, then I'm going to just leave, because we played Inter-Napoli tonight and Juventus had nothing to do with it."

He then removed the earpiece and walked away early.
