Napoli coach Rafa Benitez is determined to strengthen the centre of his midfield.
Tuttosport says Benitez is keen on Manchester City veteran Gareth Barry, 32, and Bayern Munich ace Luiz Gustavo.
Barry, now inside the final 12 months of his current deal, can be signed for around €8 million.
Bayern, meanwhile, would seek around double that figure for Brazil international Gustavo.
