Napoli have landed Palermo defender Leandro Rinaudo in a £5.5 million deal.

After penning a five-year deal, Rinaudo told Napoli Magazine: "Napoli is such an important place with great ambitions and such a history behind them.

"I can't wait to wear this shirt. Being from Palermo I am sad to leave my city, but I am really happy and proud that I am now a Napoli player.

"I am grateful to my new boss Edy Reja and I will show him what I can do once training starts again.

"But for now I don't want to talk about my abilities - I want to get out there on the pitch and prove myself to the fans."
