Napoli sports chief Pierpaolo Marino is exploring the prospect of signing Chievo Verona striker Victor Obinna on-loan.

Obinna, who will be missing until mid-February due to Nigeria's African Nations Cup campaign, is co-owned by Chievo and Inter Milan.

Marino wants to take Obinna on-loan with the option of signing the striker permanently at the end of the season. The Nigerian is contracted to Chievo until 2010, but with their promotion prospects taking a nosedive, a move away is on.
